The Accreditation Decision Making Framework (Framework) provides the Australian Pharmacy Council (APC) with a structured and risk-based approach to accreditation decision making. The Framework guides reasonable, consistent, transparent, evidence based, and proportionate regulatory decisions aligned with the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (the National Law). It also supports public safety by ensuring graduates of accredited programs who apply for registration meet required standards of quality and performance. The Framework aligns decisions related to accreditation status, conditions imposed, monitoring requirements, and accreditation periods to program risk profiles.
This Framework applies to all accreditation decisions made by the APC Accreditation Committee (AC) and the APC Board.
