This policy describes the situations in which the Australian Pharmacy Council (APC) provides fee refunds to candidates. We strive to treat all candidates impartially, fairly, ethically and sensitively. If you want to obtain a refund of your fees, please read this policy before contacting us to help ensure your request can be processed smoothly.
We do not offer refunds on skills assessment application fees.
In specific circumstances, candidates who have paid an exam fee are eligible for a refund. You can cancel your exam and request a refund within the APC Candidate Portal.
A Cancellation Fee applies to all refunds, regardless of the reason for the refund request.
You can cancel your exam registration and receive a partial refund for any reason prior to your exam scheduled date.
Exam appointments cannot be transferred or swapped. A cancelled exam fee cannot be transferred to a different exam session.
You request a partial refund if you couldn’t attend your scheduled exam on the day.
You will need to submit your refund request to us no later than 4 weeks after the exam session ended.

Should you experience a technical disruption to your exam, we will try to re-schedule your exam in the current session.

If the disruption continues and is out of your control, you can apply for a review of the disruption.
If it is not possible for us to reschedule your exam, or the disruption occurs again during the rescheduled exam, you can apply for a refund.
You will be required to provide supporting documentation to show evidence of your situation as part of your refund request.

A candidate who cancels their exam and is approved for a refund will receive the refund (minus the cancellation fee) via their original payment method.
If you wish to reschedule to a later session, you must request a refund then rebook your exam during the registration period for that exam session.
