The Australian Pharmacy Council (APC) invites expressions of interest to join a Reference Group for the development of the Pharmacist Capability Framework.
The Pharmacy Board of Australia (the Board) has engaged APC to develop a Pharmacist Capability Framework, on their behalf, to be used for accreditation and general registration purposes.
The Board's Pharmacist Capability Framework will describe the capabilities of a newly registered pharmacist who is adaptable to future practice change.
The Reference Group will be responsible for:
The Reference Group is scheduled to meet four times during the project, which is expected to be completed by December 2025. Three of the meetings will be held online, with a fourth meeting to be held face to face at a location TBA.
The recruitment process for the Reference Group will be conducted via nominations and expressions of interest, ensuring a thorough and comprehensive selection process.
Organisational representatives will be appointed by each professional organisation specified in the Terms of Reference.
Individual members recruitment will be conducted via expression of interest, seeking to fill roles representing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, consumers, other health profession and pharmacists in patient facing roles.
