The Australian Pharmacy Council (APC) invites expressions of interest (EOI) for presenters at their 2025 IPE Colloquium™ event, set to take place on Tuesday, 13 May 2025, at Rydges Hotel, Melbourne, themed "Breaking Boundaries: Education as an Enabler of Trust in Healthcare". This event will focus on the critical role education plays in building trust in healthcare.

Now more than ever, interprofessional education (IPE) is pivotal in rebuilding trust, as educators prepare students for expanding scopes of practice, tackling misinformation, and challenges posed by climate change. APC invites educators from across the healthcare spectrum to submit presentations showcasing effective examples of IPE, with a special focus on trust in healthcare.

Presentation focus:

APC encourages teams of at least 2 educators from different professions to submit EOIs to present. Areas of focus could include (but are not limited to):

  • An IPE activity that develops trust between students
  • How to design and implement an IPE activity through a consumer-led approach
  • Examples of student-led or student-driven IPE

Presenters will have the chance to contribute to a vital discussion on how trust-building efforts within IPE can reshape the future of healthcare delivery.

What's in it for you? Two presenters per submission will receive sponsored event registration , round-trip travel within Australia, and accommodation for one night. There’s also an opportunity to involve students in your presentation to highlight the next generation’s perspective on interprofessional learning.

Key dates:

  • Submissions Open: 5 November 2024
  • Submissions Close: 2 February 2025
  • Presenters Announced: Mid-March 2025
